Terms of Service
Cadence is open-source software for planning, approving and publishing social media posts. It is published by VolNix (volnix.io). By installing Cadence or connecting a social media account to it, you agree to these terms.
1. What Cadence is
Cadence runs on your own computer. It drafts posts with an AI provider you choose, shows them to you for approval, and publishes the ones you approve to the accounts you connect, such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. VolNix does not run a hosted service for Cadence and does not receive your posts, accounts or files.
2. License
The Cadence source code is licensed under the MIT License. These terms add rules for using Cadence with third-party platforms. They do not limit the rights the MIT License gives you over the code.
3. Your accounts and content
- You may only connect accounts you own or are authorised to manage.
- You are responsible for everything Cadence publishes on your behalf. Nothing is published without an approval step you control.
- You keep all rights to your content. VolNix claims no rights to it.
- Review AI-generated text and images before you approve them. They can be inaccurate.
4. Platform rules
When Cadence posts to a platform, that platform's own terms apply, including the TikTok Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Do not use Cadence for spam, misleading content, impersonation, or anything else those rules prohibit. A platform can limit or revoke access at any time.
5. Disconnecting
You can pause or remove an account in Cadence at any time. Removing it deletes its stored tokens from your computer. You can also revoke Cadence's access in the platform's own settings. For TikTok, go to Settings and privacy, then Security and permissions, then Apps and services permissions.
6. No warranty
Cadence is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, VolNix is not liable for lost data, failed or delayed posts, account restrictions, or any other damage arising from using Cadence.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and the full history is public on GitHub.
